Privacy Statement for Psychotherapy, Counselling and Supervision
This information is about how I use your personal data according to GDPR legislation. This applies to any communication with me and if we begin work together.

I collect your phone number and email address for the purpose of contacting you, in line with our counselling relationship e.g. cancelling a session.

I will only share your details for the purposes of counselling supervision (anonymised) or in the event of my being unable to continue to meet with you as a result of a life altering situation.

Data will not be shared with any third party unless directly required by you or legally required for the reasons outlined in my confidentiality policy.

I will store your number/email address securely and will dispose of your information (shredding or deletion) two weeks after our work together has ended.

If your work with me is funded by AXA or BUPA I use their secure platforms for invoicing and other communications. Any personal data that I share with them will be for the purpose of securing further funding and will be discussed with you first.

Hand written, anonymised, counselling notes are stored in secure locked storage for 7 years in line with current UKCP guidance and my insurance requirements.

At our first meeting I will give you information about my confidentiality policy and ask you to sign a consent form based on the above information.
